Welcome to the Dental Dictionary, a product that provides the full spectrum of dental terms, definitions, and pronunciations. Included are selected illustrations and audio pronunciations. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive, concise, and useful reference on a single CD-ROM.

1. System Requirements
Intel Pentium II processor or higher
Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, NT 4.0, ME, and XP
Monitor 800 x 600 screen resolution, 256 colors
16 bit 22khz audio card (SoundBlaster compatible)
64 MB of available RAM
Supported Browsers: Internet Explorer 5.x or Netscape 7.x.
Audio for the Dental Dictionary requires QuickTime 6.1 or higher. If QuickTime installation is necessary, and Internet connection is required.

2. Installation Notes
After you place the CD into the CD-ROM drive, the CD will automatically load into your default browser.
If this does not occur, please open your browser of preference. Open the File menu and select File/Open. Navigate to your Desktop and open the CD named Dental. Inside Dental, open the file called Start.html to open Mosby's Dental Dictionary.
This product requires QuickTime 6.1 or higher to run properly. If you do not have this product installed, you may install QuickTime 6.1 from the CD. Please open the Dental Dictionary and click Help. Then click the appropriate link in the Troubleshooting section to install QuickTime 6.1.

When using the Search page to search the Dental Dictionary, it is important to note that the search only includes the terms and not the definition.

3. Change Default Browser
How to change your default browser in Windows
Instruction on how to change your default browser are in the documentation of your browser.
Instructions for common browsers follow.
Internet Explorer 6.0
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Tools/Internet Options.
3. Select the Programs tab.
4. Press the Reset Web Settings... button.
5. Press Yes.
6. Close Internet Explorer.
Netscape
1. Open Netscape 7.1
2. If Netscape asks if you want to change your default browser select OK and close Netscape.
3. Otherwise, select Edit/Preferences.
4. Select the Navigator tab and press the Set Default Browser, button.
5. Close Netscape.
